Comparison methodology

How AbodeVid comparesAI real estate video tools

A competitor page is only useful when the reader can tell what was verified, what came from vendor marketing and what has not been tested. Our comparison pages therefore separate public product facts from hands-on quality judgments, time-stamp pricing, and show the sources used for each platform.

Two evidence levels, not one

The current comparison cluster is a public-spec comparison. It checks product pages, pricing pages, help pages and credible public directory listings. It does not pretend that a marketing claim proves output quality. A future AbodeVid Lab comparison will use the same source-photo set across tools and can then discuss output quality, processing time and failure modes from direct testing.

Source hierarchy

  1. 1

Current vendor pricing or product page. This is the preferred source for pricing, formats and documented features.

  2. 2

Vendor help centre, FAQ or current guide. Used when the main product page does not expose enough detail.

  3. 3

Independent software directory. Used only when a vendor does not expose a public price or a feature needs secondary corroboration.

  4. 4

Competitor-written comparison pages. Useful for discovering claims, but not accepted as neutral evidence about another product without verification.

How conflicting public information is handled

SaaS pricing changes quickly, and vendor websites are not always updated everywhere at once. If two public pages disagree, we prefer the current homepage or pricing page and explicitly note the conflict rather than silently choosing the number that makes AbodeVid look better. The comparison facts in this cluster were checked on 2026-09-04.

BetterSpace is a good example: its current homepage advertises two free videos per month and Premium pricing from $3.97 per video, while older comparison content on the same site still contains different plan figures. That is treated as a pricing-change warning, not as an opportunity to select the most favourable number.

We do not award quality scores from marketing claims

Words such as “cinematic”, “professional” and “realistic” appear throughout this category. They describe positioning, not a controlled test result. Until the same listing-photo set has been processed through competing tools under documented conditions, our pages will not state that one platform has objectively better motion, fewer artifacts or faster generation simply because a vendor says so.

What the methodology does not prove

A public-spec comparison cannot prove which output a buyer will prefer, which platform will generate fewer visual errors on a difficult room, or which tool will be fastest on a specific day. Those are empirical questions. The comparison pages are designed to narrow the shortlist by workflow and commercial fit; the future Lab layer will handle controlled output testing.
